Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Navision SCM Consultant to provide functional support and continuous improvement services for a managed services engagement. The consultant will support Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Dynamics 365 Business Central supply chain processes, ensuring the stable operation of procurement, inventory, warehouse, planning, sales order, and logistics functions. This role requires strong hands‑on NAV/Business Central functional expertise, sound knowledge of end‑to‑end supply chain processes, and experience working in an SLA-driven application support environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 functional support for Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Dynamics 365 Business Central Supply Chain modules.
• Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, system defects, and user queries within agreed SLAs.
• Configure, maintain, and support supply chain processes across:
• Purchase and vendor management
• Sales order management
• Inventory management
• Item master and item variants
• Item tracking, serial numbers, and lot numbers
• Warehouse management
• Bin management and warehouse locations

• Support inventory planning activities, including reorder policies, planning worksheets, requisition worksheets, order proposals, and demand/supply balancing.
• Assist business users with warehouse transactions, put‑away, picks, shipments, receipts, cycle counts, physical inventory, and stock adjustments.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to item tracking, reservations, bin contents, item availability, cost adjustments, and inventory reconciliation.
• Gather business requirements and prepare functional specifications for system enhancements, reports, workflows, and process changes.
• Collaborate with NAV/Business Central developers and integration teams to troubleshoot customizations, interfaces, EDI, barcode scanning, shipping carriers, and external logistics systems.
• Perform impact analysis and coordinate functional testing for changes, releases, patches, upgrades, and integrations.
• Prepare test scenarios, execute regression testing, support UAT, and validate production deployments.
• Create and maintain functional documentation, configuration documents, support knowledge articles, process maps, and end‑user guides.
• Deliver user training and provide functional guidance on standard NAV/Business Central supply chain capabilities and best practices.
• Participate in problem management, root‑cause analysis, service reviews, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of functional consulting experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Strong experience in NAV/Business Central supply chain and logistics processes, including purchasing, sales order processing, inventory, warehousing, and planning.
• Hands‑on experience with item setup, locations, bins, item tracking, reservations, replenishment parameters, vendor/item relationships, and posting setup.
• Practical knowledge of warehouse operations, inbound/outbound processing, stock movements, inventory counting, and inventory controls.
• Experience in a managed services, production support, or SLA-based application support environment.
• Ability to analyze and resolve functional issues involving inventory, procurement, warehouse, and order fulfillment processes.
• Experience gathering requirements and producing functional design documents, test cases, training material, and support documentation.
• Understanding of NAV/Business Central integrations and the ability to coordinate issue resolution across functional, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Strong problem‑solving, stakeholder‑management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tickets, changing priorities, and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central functional certification.
• Experience with advanced warehouse management, mobile warehouse solutions, barcode/RF scanning, EDI, and third‑party logistics integrations.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, assembly, service management, or project‑based supply chain processes in NAV/Business Central.
• Exposure to Power BI, Jet Reports, Excel reporting, or other operational reporting tools.
• Basic understanding of AL development, C/AL, SQL, APIs, web services, and integration concepts.
• Experience with NAV/Business Central upgrades or migration to Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Familiarity with ITIL service management processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
• Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing and delivery tools.
