Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Automotive is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to manage and optimize our Microsoft 365 environment at our Irving, TX headquarters. The role emphasizes identity management, endpoint administration, security controls, and messaging services, with opportunities to contribute to cloud migration and ongoing improvements.

The position is full-time and onsite, offering benefits and career growth within a large automotive group.

Qualifications

Experience administering Microsoft 365 in a production environment.
Working knowledge of Entra ID, Intune, Hybrid Exchange, Exchange Online, and Microsoft security tools.
Experience with Active Directory and Hybrid Exchange environments.
Strong troubleshooting and incident resolution skills.
Ability to follow established architecture and security standards.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the US; no sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Identity & Access Management: Administer Entra ID users, groups, roles, and licensing; enforce Conditional Access, MFA, and identity security controls; lead migrations to Entra ID and hybrid identity.
Endpoint & Device Management: Administer Windows and mobile devices via Intune; maintain device compliance policies and configuration profiles; support Autopilot and MDM/MAM enrollment; troubleshoot endpoint issues.
Security & Compliance: Administer Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Office 365; implement security improvements to Microsoft Secure Score; configure DLP, retention, and sensitivity labeling; verify backups and recovery testing.
Messaging & Collaboration: Administer Exchange Online mailboxes and permissions; decommission Hybrid Exchange components; monitor mail flow and protections; support eDiscovery and mailbox auditing.
Operations & Escalations: Serve as Tier-2/Tier-3 escalation resource for Microsoft 365; perform root-cause analysis; maintain SOPs; collaborate with senior engineers and security teams.
