Job summary

Qualifications

  • Earned bachelor's degree
  • Currently attending and enrolled full time in the spring term immediately preceding the internship (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited science, engineering, or math graduate program
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, asylees or refugees in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with multiple scientific disciplines to produce functional, robust microsystems.
  • Work with scientists, engineers, and researchers on advanced microsystems concepts including MEMS and quantum components.
  • Participate in technical seminars and facility tours to understand Sandia's breadth of engineering disciplines.
  • Develop skills through mentorship from the MESA community and collaborative projects.
  • Prepare for a rewarding career path through exposure to national security applications.
