Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Year Round - Technical Grad Intern to join a dynamic team. You will design, fabricate, and characterize chip-scale piezoelectric and magnetic devices for RF signal processing.

The role requires cleanroom fabrication experience and collaboration with scientists and engineers on challenging problems. Applicants should be current graduate students with a earned bachelor’s degree, a GPA of 3.0/4.0, and the ability to work up to 30 hours weekly

Qualifications

  • Earned bachelor's degree
  • Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited graduate program
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Ability to work up to 30 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, asylees or refugees in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Design, fabricate, and characterize chip-scale piezoelectric phononic devices and magnetic devices for RF signal processing applications.
  • Apply existing knowledge and gain new knowledge towards fundamental studies of piezoelectric-and magnetic-based microsystems.
  • Conduct research and publish.
  • Interact with other scientists and engineers to solve technical problems.
