Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a responsible year-round undergraduate intern to support an experimental materials science project focused on semiconductor materials and device sciences. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited undergraduate program (must be able to work onsite).
• Pursuing a science, engineering, or math major.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, up to 40 hours in summer.
• U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, or refugees in the U.S.
• If no HS diploma, apply to a high school intern position.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with synthesis and processing of novel materials for magnetic and ferroelectric composites.
• Learn and assist with electron microscopy and sample preparation.
• Learn and assist with testing magnetic material properties.
• Learn and assist with data collection, analysis, interfacing, and modeling.
• Contribute to a safe and secure laboratory working environment.
