Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking undergraduate students for the MissionTech internship within the Nuclear Deterrence and Science (ND&S) Mission Technologies program. You will apply mechanical, electrical, and software design and analysis to real national security projects while partnering with ND&SS teams to deliver mission-related results.

Qualifications

• Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program.
• Pursuing a science, engineering, or math major.
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test components, systems, and software for mission-related projects.
• Collaborate with design and assurance engineering teams to collect and analyze data.
• Support telemetry development, coding, and full-stack programming as needed.
• Assist in testing and optimization of circuits, electronics, and related hardware.
