Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma plus 5-7 years' laboratory experience.
• BS Degree plus 2-3 years' laboratory experience.
• Experience in laboratory procedures, data analysis, computer operations, mathematics, and technical/business writing.
• 2-3 years supervisory experience in related field.
• Ability to organize and lead laboratory personnel to optimize productivity and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Assist the Business Unit Manager in managing daily operations of the microbiology department including scheduling, supervising, instructing, monitoring, and assisting in the performance of manual and instrumental analyses.
• Perform timely and accurate analysis of samples to meet customer commitments; include sample prep, analyses, data review, reduction, and interpretation.
• Maintain quality measures meeting government regulations and company requirements.
• Review and evaluate test data for technical accuracy and SOP compliance; provide basic statistical evaluation.
• Investigate non-conformances, determine and implement corrective actions, and follow up.
• Train and document training of assigned technical staff on test methods, SOPs, and lab policies.
• Review annually performance of personnel and provide written reviews.
