Job summary

Kelly Services seeks a Microbiologist for a permanent role in the Quality Control group in Tappan, NY. You will perform microbiological testing on materials and products, maintain data integrity, and support release of finished products for GMP compliance.

Requirements include hands-on USP <60>, <61>, <62> testing and 2–4 years of pharmaceutical microbiology experience. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 12:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m., on-site at the laboratory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related science.
• 2–4 years of pharmaceutical microbiology experience.
• Hands-on with USP <60>, <61>, <62> microbiological testing.
• Knowledge of cGMP and FDA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine microbiological testing of water, bulk chemicals, drug products, and finished products.
• Assess results per test methods and work instructions.
• Conduct method-suitability testing on finished products and report results.
• Collect and test water, environmental air, and surface samples and trend data.
• Perform aseptic sampling and basic microorganism identification.
• Prepare media and samples for microbial testing and coordinate external labs.
• Document results in accordance with ALCOA and data integrity standards.
