Job summary

CamWebDir is seeking a Microbiologist I to perform routine release testing of raw materials and finished products, while ensuring compliance with laboratory SOPs. The role includes environmental monitoring, trend analysis, and support for CAPA and SOP updates.

Requirements include a B.S. in Microbiology or related field and at least 1 year of practical lab experience, with competency in key microbiology techniques and GMP documentation. This is an on-site, full-time position in Lexington.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of practical laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of GMP/GLP and cGMP expectations.
• Competency with Gram staining, isolation plating, media prep and microorganism identification methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished product for release.
• Conduct environmental monitoring of facilities and water systems per SOPs.
• Maintain environmental monitoring trend data and assist in CAPA.
• Document test results and deviations; support SOP updates.
• Train team members in microbiology and related lab practices.
• Handle biohazard disposal per OSHA and SOP guidelines.
