Job summary

BBYO in Miami is seeking a Chapter Specialist to work directly with teens (grades 8-12) and local chapters to develop engaging programming and sustainable engagement. You will coach recruitment, help plan calendars, attend events, and participate in regional and organization-wide initiatives.

The role requires in-person presence in Miami, 5–10 hours weekly, and reliable transportation. Prior BBYO or youth organization experience is a plus; U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 3 years removed from high school.
• Live within or close to Miami; in-person responsibilities.
• Chapter program occurs 2-4x a month.
• Able to transport self to and from events.
• Hours are flexible, 5-10 per week.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Must be available for Spring Kickoff and Spring Convention.
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication.
• BBYO or similar youth/Jewish organization background preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with teens (grades 8-12) to create impactful, fun programming.
• Coach teens on recruitment and retention to grow chapters.
• Support teens in building chapter calendars and cadence.
• Be present at events, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Ensure chapter participation in region-wide and organization-wide initiatives.
• Track chapter data on attendance and engagement to inform strategy.
• Build relationships with members, parents, and community partners.
• Collaborate with regional team to share best practices.
