Job summary

BBYO in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Chapter Specialist to partner with teen leaders and strengthen chapter health through purposeful programming and sustained engagement. You will coach teens, help design calendars, and support events while collaborating with regional teammates to share best practices.

The role is in-person with local residency requirements and a minimum commitment of 5 hours per week, including evenings or weekends as needed. Compensation is $18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 3 years removed from high school.
• Role has in-person responsibilities. Candidate must live within or close to Raleigh.
• Active participation at local chapter programs is required.
• Chapter program on average 2-4x a month.
• Ability to transport self to and from chapter or regional events.
• Minimum of 5 hours per week, flexible scheduling.
• BBYO or similar youth/Jewish organization background preferred but not required.
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Must be available for fall and spring conventions.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with teens (grades 8-12) to create impactful, fun, and dynamic programming.
• Coach teens on recruitment and retention to grow chapters beyond goals.
• Support teens in building and executing chapter calendars with sustainable cadence.
• Be present at chapter events, providing guidance and mentorship as the adult in the room.
• Ensure chapter participation in region-wide and organization-wide initiatives.
• Track and analyze chapter data, including attendance and engagement trends.
• Build relationships with members, parents, and community partners.
• Participate as a member of the regional team and engage in monthly professional development.
• Other duties as assigned.
