Job summary

BBYO is seeking a Chapter Specialist to empower teens in the Evergreen Region (Oregon, Washington, Idaho) by developing and sustaining active Jewish teen chapters across communities. You will coach teens and advisors, craft engaging calendars, and participate in region-wide initiatives while building meaningful relationships with families and partners.

You’ll work in-person in multiple cities with flexible virtual capacity, committing 10–15 hours weekly and a starting pay of $18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 3 years removed from high school.
• Active participation in local chapter programs is required.
• Chapters program 2-4x a month on average.
• Ability to transport self to chapter or regional events.
• Availability: 10-15 hours a week.
• BBYO or similar youth/Jewish organization experience preferred but not required.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, fun programming with teens (grades 8-12).
• Coach teens on recruitment and retention to grow chapters.
• Help teens build chapter calendars with a steady programming cadence.
• Be present at events, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Track attendance, engagement, and membership trends to inform strategy.
• Build relationships with members, parents, and community partners.
• Collaborate with regional team to share best practices.
