Job summary

Better Together seeks an Executive Director to guide the Better Families program across Southeast Florida, including Miami-Dade County. You will lead program development, build donor relationships, and collaborate with churches and community partners to expand impact and sustain families' stability.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s in social work or related field, 5+ years in child welfare, and at least 3 years in leadership. A Master’s is preferred; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience working in child welfare or with at-risk children and families.
• A minimum of 3+ years’ leading and managing a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human service field.
• A master’s degree in social work or a human services-related field is preferred.
• Child welfare knowledge or local expertise.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire and retain qualified staff.
• Coach, motivate and support team members.
• Meet regional annual goals and metrics of success.
• Manage regional budget.
• Employ strategic planning and problem solving.
• Maintain data entry and reporting.
• Provide oversight of families being served.
• Oversee volunteer screening and approval process.
• Develop donor relationships and fundraising strategies.
• Engage and support the regional community board.
• Meet with donors and solicit funding support.
• Plan and execute annual fundraising event.
• Engage community partnerships and conduct public presentations.
• Meet with local government officials and first responders to collaborate.
• Cultivate church partnerships.
• Use Salesforce/Basecamp proficiently.
