Universal Health Services is seeking a Nursing Leader to direct and coordinate nursing care, supervise lead mental health technicians and nurses, and ensure staffing aligns with census and acuity. The role emphasizes delivering quality patient care under the nursing process guidelines.

The position requires a nursing degree, NC RN licensure, CPR and CPI certifications, plus 3+ years of nursing and supervisory experience, preferably in psychiatric/rehabilitative settings.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Associate of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • At least 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric, mental health, and/or rehabilitation nursing.
  • At least 3 years supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Current North Carolina State Registered Nurse License
  • Current North Carolina Driver's License
  • Current CPR Certification
  • CPI Certification
  • Knowledge of management, policy development, and regulatory standards in psychiatric/rehabilitative care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Associate of Nursing required; BSN preferred
Experience
  • At least 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric, mental health, and/or rehabilitation nursing.
  • At least 3 years supervisory/management experience preferred
Licensure/Certification
  • Current North Carolina State Registered Nurse License
  • Current North Carolina Driver's License
  • Current CPR Certification
  • CPI Certification
Knowledge and Skills
  • Management skills with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Able to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric, medical, and rehabilitative procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable State and federal regulations and JCAHO standards.
  • Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.
  • Knowledge of milieu management.
  • Ability to direct subordinates in the performance of their duties.
  • Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects.
  • Ability to safely implement Special Treatment Procedures.
  • Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families
