• Strong computer knowledge of Word, Excel and HME billing software.
• Self‑directed, able to work independently, set priorities and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to manage within a budget and understand financial statements to analyze trends and make recommendations.
• Effective verbal and written communication; able to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.

Mgr‑Home Medical Equipment – Ochsner Health

This position manages and coordinates the daily operations of the organization’s Home Medical Equipment (HME) program, from patient intake to billing, inventory and delivery. The role also oversees quality assurance, Joint Commission requirements, staff development, health system management systems, and coordination with the outside billing company to maximize efficiencies.

Education

Required – High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred – Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or related field.
