Job summary

Northern Base in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced MFT Tower Lead to monitor and support enterprise MFT platforms across production and non-production environments. This full-time, onsite role requires 8–14 years of experience and deep expertise in secure file transfers.

You will own troubleshooting of file transfer failures, manage DMZ Gateway connectivity, and coordinate with Infrastructure, Security, and Network teams.

Qualifications

• 8–14 years of experience in Managed File Transfer (MFT) / Production Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Globalscape EFT.
• Experience with DMZ Gateway and secure file transfer connectivity.
• Strong experience with IBM Sterling NDM / Connect.
• Experience with AWS S3 and file transfer integrations.
• Experience monitoring Kafka topics and message flows.
• Strong experience with Autosys for job scheduling and batch workflows.
• Experience with XL Deploy and application deployment activities.
• Experience with Secure File Transfer onboarding and trading partner integrations.
• Strong L2/L3 Production Support and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with L3 Escalation, Incident Management, and RCA.
• Strong knowledge of SSL/TLS certificates, authentication, and secure communication.
• Experience troubleshooting firewall, network, and connectivity issues.
• Experience with deployment validation, release activities, health checks, and rollback.
• Strong experience analyzing logs, monitoring alerts, application behavior, and infrastructure events.
• Ability to prepare detailed RCA reports and drive corrective/preventive actions.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to coordinate with Infrastructure, Application, Network, and Security teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support enterprise MFT platforms across production and non-production environments.
• Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of secure file transfer services.
• Troubleshoot file transfer failures, delays, duplicates, authentication, certificate, and connectivity issues.
• Support critical business file exchanges and batch-processing workflows.
• Configure and maintain users, permissions, folders, trading partners, EFT workflows, and event rules.
• Monitor and troubleshoot DMZ Gateway connectivity and performance.
• Support Connect, AWS S3, Kafka, and Autosys integrations and workflows.
• Troubleshoot scheduled job failures, dependencies, delayed schedules, and perform restart/recovery activities.
• Support application deployment and release activities, including package validation and post-deployment health checks.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts across multiple technology teams and ensure service restoration within SLA commitments.
• Investigate recurring and major production incidents and identify root causes.
• Prepare RCA reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Track remediation activities through successful closure.
• Maintain operational documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles.
• Support server upgrades, patching, and environmental changes.
• Coordinate external partner onboarding and secure file transfer connectivity.
