Pay range: $44-48/hour
We are seeking a File Transfer Operations Support Engineer (FTOS) to support enterprise file transfer platforms and infrastructure. This role will focus on maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing managed file transfer solutions while ensuring secure, reliable data movement across systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with tools such as Axway, Connect:Direct (NDM), and secure file transfer protocols, along with a strong foundation in infrastructure support and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain file transfer platforms including Axway, Connect:Direct (NDM), and related tools
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution across systems and partners
- Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of infrastructure and system upgrades
- Contribute to analysis of business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements
- Monitor system performance using tools such as Grafana and respond to alerts and incidents
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and support playbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance
- Support secure file transfer processes, including certificate validation and encrypted data workflows
- Participate in risk and control processes, ensuring adherence to policies and compliance standards
- Identify recurring issues and contribute to long-term solutions to prevent future incidents
- Engage in Agile-based development and support practices, including testing and documentation
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in technology infrastructure engineering, production support, or related field
- Experience with managed file transfer tools such as Axway SecureTransport, Connect:Direct (NDM), or SFTP platforms
- Experience supporting production environments, including issue identification, ticket management, and stakeholder communication
- Solid understanding of technology support processes, including diagnosing and resolving system issues
- Basic understanding of file transfer concepts and infrastructure environments (mainframe experience is a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of secure file transfer protocols (HTTPS, SSH, SFTP) and certificate-based authentication
- Experience validating secure connections and supporting encrypted data transfer workflows
- Foundational knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, port testing, and connectivity troubleshooting
- Experience reviewing and managing certificates or secrets (key rotation, secure proxy)
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation (incident reports, procedures, operational notes)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
