Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer for the Duke Perinatal Cary location in Cary, NC. You will perform diagnostic OB/GYN ultrasound examinations and support physicians in procedures, ensuring fetal wellbeing and accurate imaging.

The role requires ARDMS OB/GYN certification within 18 months and a BS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable. The position emphasizes patient care, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with a renowned academic

Qualifications

• Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification.
• Must obtain ARDMS OB/GYN certification within 18 months of employment.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs OB/GYN ultrasound examinations including basic and detailed anatomy, and fetal wellbeing assessments.
• Assists physicians in invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS.
• Assists with saline infusion sonography and other imaging procedures.
• Differentiates normal vs. pathologic findings and communicates results to physicians.
• Maintains ultrasound equipment and supports daily operations of the practice.
