Duke Health Perinatal Wilmington in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Medical Imaging professional to serve as an MFM Sonographer performing diagnostic OB/GYN ultrasound examinations and fetal wellbeing assessments.

The role includes assisting physicians with invasive procedures, maintaining equipment, and contributing to a collaborative team. A BS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and registry/certification eligibility are required with a 12-month certification window.

Formación

• Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification.
• Must obtain ARDMS OB/GYN and Fetal Echocardiogram certification within 12 months of employment.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Performs clinical OB/GYN ultrasound examinations including early anatomy, and detailed anatomy assessments.
• Assists physicians in invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS.
• Uses cognitive skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures based on anatomy and pathology.
• Uses independent judgment to differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
• Analyzes sonograms, synthesizes information, and communicates findings to the physician.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort, communicates with patient and health care team.
• Assists with daily operations of the practice; maintains ultrasound equipment and supplies.
