Job summary

Duke Perinatal Cary in Cary, NC seeks a MFM Sonographer to perform diagnostic OB/GYN ultrasound exams and fetal wellbeing assessments. You will assist with procedures and communicate findings to physicians.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, teaching ultrasound techniques to staff, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during exams. ARDMS OB/GYN certification within 18 months is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation or program completion meeting registry/certification eligibility.
• Must obtain ARDMS OB/GYN certification within 18 months of employment.
• Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform OB/GYN ultrasound exams including basic and detailed anatomy and fetal wellbeing assessments.
• Assist physicians with amniocentesis, CVS, and saline infusion procedures.
• Synthesize findings and communicate results to the physician.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and support teaching of ultrasound technology.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during examinations.
