Job summary

Duke Health in Wilmington, NC seeks a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer to perform diagnostic OB/GYN ultrasound exams and contribute to patient care. You will work with physicians, assist with invasive procedures, ensure equipment readiness, and participate in ongoing education and patient safety.

The role requires ARDMS OB/GYN and fetal echocardiography certification within 12 months; a BS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate or completion of program meeting registry requirements.
• Must obtain ARDMS OB/GYN and Fetal Echocardiography within 12 months.
• Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs OB/GYN ultrasound exams including early anatomy and detailed anatomy scans.
• Assists physicians in invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS.
• Uses cognitive skills to identify findings and communicates results to the physician.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort; supports daily operations and education.
