Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) is seeking a Development Engineer to join our Valley Green, PA team. You will lead concept development, design, verification, and qualification of Mezzanine Power Connectors, ensuring manufacturability and alignment with customer requirements.

You will collaborate with front-end teams and customers to capture requirements, lead design reviews, and develop robust testing and verification plans for successful NPI transitions into manufacturing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
5+ years' experience in connector design.
Proficient in 3D modeling using Solidworks.
General understanding of drawing standards such as ASME Y14.5.
Excellent understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Ability to communicate with Global Customers and all levels of the organization.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities/projects.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize, design, and develop power connector solutions per roadmap and opportunities.
Define product/application requirements with customers.
Lead product design reviews and communicate technical presentations.
Develop testing programs to ensure design intent.
Present concepts to customers and incorporate feedback.
Define product, application, and packaging specifications.
Define verification and qualification test plans.
Collaborate with NPI and manufacturing to transition to production.
