Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead product development initiatives across power connectors and cable assemblies. This role requires strong mechanical and electro-mechanical design expertise, including power connector architecture and sealing.

You will mentor engineers, drive cross-functional collaboration, and contribute to cost-effective, high-quality solutions across global teams.

Qualifications

Master's degree in engineering is required.
Minimum 6 years of mechanical design and product development for electrical components or connectors.
Strong Creo/Ansys experience with GD&T and DFMEA.

Responsibilities

Lead design reviews with cross-functional alignment and customer expectations.
Drive cost reduction through innovative design and manufacturing improvements.
Provide technical guidance across the product development lifecycle.
Lead training programs to elevate engineering capability in power connector design.
Create and maintain design history files, drawings, and qualification reports.
Collaborate with global teams to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly for connectors and cables.
