Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Metrology Equipment Technician to perform setup, calibration, system support, and quality testing for memory chips and logic devices. You will collect data with sophisticated programs and help develop methods to control manufacturing processes.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, SOP adherence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical certification or 4 years equivalent tech experience.
• Familiar with SPC methods and implementation.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Focused on continuous improvement in fast-paced environments.
• Familiar with TPM concepts.
• High attention to detail and customer service, teamwork and flexibility.
• Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs.
• Ability to work off-hours if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance (PM)/Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance following SOPs.
• Troubleshooting and failure analysis; follow scripts to anticipate issues.
• Monitor equipment and processes and seek improvements.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers and manufacturing teams.
