Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Metrology Equipment Technician to perform set-up, calibration, system support, preventative maintenance, and quality testing for memory chips and logic devices. You will use advanced programs to collect data and adjust instruments to optimize production processes, while contributing to method development and process control.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical certification or equivalent
• 3+ ASE certs or 4 years semiconductor technician experience
• Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Continuous improvement mindset in fast-paced environment
• Familiar with TPM concepts
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork
• Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs
• Ability to work off-hours if needed
• Electro-mechanical aptitude and basic tools knowledge

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, system maintenance, CPM and calibration tasks.
• Troubleshoot using scripts and failure analysis to anticipate issues.
• Monitor equipment and processes and seek improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing; communicate across teams.
