Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Metrology Equipment Technician to support manufacturing and metrology operations. You will assist engineers and production in setup, calibration, and maintenance of critical systems for memory chips and logic devices.

The role emphasizes failure analysis, process monitoring, and strict SOP adherence, with a focus on continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires 2-year technical certification or equivalent.
• 3+ ASE certifications or 4+ years semiconductor technician experience.
• Familiarity with SPC methodologies and data collection.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of TPM concepts and SOP adherence is required.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and system maintenance per SOPs.
• Troubleshoot failures and conduct failure analysis using scripts.
• Monitor equipment and processes; identify improvement opportunities.
• Work with engineers and manufacturing to support metrology operations.
