Job description

This role supports the day-to-day administrative operations of the organization, including onboarding, document management, calendar coordination, donor communication, and event support. The position helps ensure smooth internal processes and a well-organized, welcoming office environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ministry Partner Deposits - Deposit checks and manage data entry and filing for such gifts, on a weekly basis
  • Donor Communications – Mail donation receipts, send memorial acknowledgements, and serve as a point of contact for donors experiencing billing interruptions, on a weekly basis.
  • Update Google Calendar - Help maintain the organization’s Google Calendar by entering key event dates, staff vacations, and birthdays, on a weekly basis.
  • Annual Reporting - Oversee annual YFC USA charter submission and maintain accurate records of staff offer letters on a yearly basis.
  • Onboarding Support - Oversee the employee onboarding process, ensuring all required documentation is accurately completed and properly filed, on an as needed basis.
  • Event Support - Provide support for annual events as needed, including preparation, execution, and follow-up tasks, on an as needed basis.
  • Office upkeep - Assist in maintaining a clean and organized office environment and maintain supplies on an as needed basis.

  • Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.
  • Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events.
  • Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of faith expression.

YFC employees will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established Youth for Christ process, and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by Youth for Christ USA.

All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.

Position Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

  • Work with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
  • Must keep detailed records at all times and develop a highly efficient electronic and paper filing system.
  • Must be comfortable learning and utilizing MMYFC's donor management system on a daily basis.
  • Work on any special projects as requested with the ability to prioritize and reprioritize.
  • Relationally driven with natural ability to grow and maintain relationships with significant and influential individuals both internally and externally.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to problem solve, focus and analyze situations and data in the face of conflicting priorities and multiple demands while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to listen well, follow directions and work collaboratively with colleagues across many departments and ministries.
  • Self-initiated ability to analyze and improve on operations.
  • Must be comfortable with a high frequency of electronic communication.
  • Must have intermediate/advanced typing and computer skills including: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general internet knowledge.

Credentials Required & Preferred Education

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in an office environment.
