Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass validated aptitude test.
• Background in residential/commercial electrical preferred.
• Ability and willingness to work all shift/schedules, including holidays, nights, weekends and overtime.
• Working knowledge of collections policies and practices.
• Ability to use hand tools and interact with customers satisfactorily.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to interact with customers face to face daily.
• Ability to drive all types of vehicles in adverse conditions and travel to storm call-outs.

Responsibilities

• Turn off and on electric meters and connect single-phase meters.
• Disconnect electric meters including three-phase.
• Perform field collections for overdue bills and review account data.
• Interview customers and initiate procedures per policy and regulatory standards.
• Perform necessary clerical functions and evaluate conditions at customer premises.
• Make decisions per applicable regulations and attend standby for emergencies as needed.
