Requires meter experience, professional communication, and certifications including Backflow and OSHA 10 within stated timelines. Training will be provided, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The Meter Specialist, under the general direction of the Metered Services Supervisor, is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and proper operation of bulk water sales meters and equipment, hydrant meters, and department owned backflow devices. Interacts with customers to resolve service-related complaints, ensure the proper placement and operation of sub-meters, and tests water meters as necessary in accordance with AWWA standards. Performs quality assurance and quality control related tasks and assists in training of Metered Services staff as necessary.
Pay $23.27 per hour.
