Job summary

The City of Lee’s Summit is seeking a Meter Technician to read and record water meter data, inspect and maintain meters, and respond to customer service requests. The role supports accurate billing and reliable water services for a large community.

Minimum qualifications include high school graduation, valid driver’s license, and experience in field service or customer-facing roles; certifications may be required within six months. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School Graduation or equivalent is required.
• Confined Space Entry Certification within six months of employment is required.
• OSHA 10 Certification within six months of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Read and record meter data for billing and related action.
• Inspect, maintain, and replace water meters and associated equipment.
• Respond to customer service requests and handle complaints.
