Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years of experience in cutting tools, machining, welding, abrasives, or industrial fabrication.
• Experience partnering with customers or end users to assess technical and operational challenges and recommend solutions.
• Knowledge of consumer and industrial machine tool and cutting tool brands used to support customer evaluations.
• Knowledge of machining principles and metal cutting, including speeds/feeds, materials, tooling selection, turning, drilling, milling, and related CNC applications.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes and equipment (sawing, cutting, forming, bending, material prep).
• Knowledge of welding processes and applications (MIG, TIG, stick, plasma cutting).
• Knowledge of grinding, finishing, and abrasive applications; precision measurement tools.
• CNC operations and programming environments; familiarity with Mastercam, Autodesk Fusion, Siemens or similar software.
• Ability to be in the field with customers four to five days a week in Fayetteville, Raleigh, Goldsboro, or Greenville.

• Lead consultative customer engagements by understanding complex needs to develop tailored solutions.
• Leverage market intelligence and internal resources to educate customers on Grainger capabilities and fabrication solutions.
• Understand customer businesses and requirements to recommend metalworking solutions that improve performance and growth.
• Implement customer-focused strategies to identify and advance revenue opportunities.
• Partner with internal Grainger teams to develop and implement integrated technical solutions.
• Document engagements and outcomes to improve account strategies and growth.
