Job summary

Qualifications

• An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and the ability to train teams in applying them.
• Supervisory experience in a marine manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with production planning and scheduling.
• Proficient with MS Office for scheduling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach production associates within labor and operating expense budgeted hours to meet and execute the daily/weekly production schedules for multiple lines.
• Meet safety, quality, delivery, cost and engagement goals established for the site while coordinating production through the goals to minimize waste.
• Complete and update all necessary production paperwork and record, including timesheets and Company Policy logs.
• Ensure equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are always safe.
• Review and analyze production records to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Make recommendations for long-term solutions, including replacing equipment, refurbishing equipment, procedural changes, and productivity improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement in area of responsibility through teamwork, skills and capability development.
• Staff, train, evaluate and develop associates.
• Manage and facilitate associate and management relationships within the guidelines of the Employee Guide and Company Policies.
• Explains and enforces company policies and rules; maintains discipline, morale and employee relations; administers disciplinary action for rule violations, misconduct, absenteeism or deficient performance.
