Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Dunkirk, NY seeks an experienced engineer to join the process and quality team, review processes for compliance, and develop manufacturing routes for conversion customers.

You will support quality functions including internal SWI auditing, document control, and operator training, while helping drive process improvements, yield, and cost reductions across the forging operations. Relocation is authorized; this role requires on-site collaboration with shop floor teams

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent education/experience.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes; metals industry a plus.
• Ability to prepare written reports, build relationships, and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Review process performance against key parameters and SPC data.
• Review and approve Homogenization cycles, furnace surveys, and calibration reports.
• Disposition and close variances or upgrade to IRR; track variances and IRR for root cause analysis.
• Support development and maintenance of forge tables and related programs for toll conversion customers.
• Assist in cost reduction, product and process improvement, and yield improvement.
