Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a senior Quality Engineering leader to direct technical resources and drive process control across the New Hartford and Dunkirk facilities.

You will oversee QA, SPC, audits and corrective actions, while providing internal and external support to ensure a reputation for high-quality products. Requires a Engineering degree with 10+ years in technical management in nickel or metals, including aero experience; AS9100 knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; metals background preferred.
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) a plus.
• At least 10 years of technical management experience in nickel or other metals; aero exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the facility's technical resources to support strategic needs.
• Provide technical leadership to improve primary and secondary melting operations (VIM, VAR, ESR).
• Oversee raw material purchasing oversight and supplier interactions.
• Drive quality systems, SPC monitoring, audits, and corrective actions for New Hartford and Dunkirk facilities.
• Represent the company in industry groups and support technical customer needs.
• Monitor key metrics and report performance in weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews.
• Budget and develop human capital for Process and QA/Lab functions.
