Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is seeking a senior technical professional for open-die and GFM forging at the Dunkirk facility. You will develop, optimize, and sustain forging and thermal processes, interfacing with customers to support material qualification and process development.

You will collaborate across operations, maintenance, engineering, and commercial teams, growing into the primary technical contact for forging at Dunkirk and driving cost and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science.
• 8–12 years of forging and thermomechanical processing of high-performance alloys.

Responsibilities

• Establish and own forging process capability for open-die and GFM operations.
• Develop, validate, and optimize forging routes, furnace parameters, and heat-treatment cycles.
• Lead customer qualification and development programs for material introduction and process validation.
• Drive cost reduction, yield improvement, and throughput via metallurgical improvements.
• Develop and maintain forging programs and process standards for internal and external customers.
• Lead technical resolution of internal process issues and customer quality concerns.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and operations.
