Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) is hiring a Laboratory Technician I for our Lancaster, PA lab. You will support general lab operations, perform sample prep, and maintain records and supplies, with offsite training in Richmond, VA.

Required: high school diploma and basic chemistry coursework, strong organizational and communication skills, and willingness to train in Richmond. Pay range $18–$21/hour with full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: High school Chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience.
• Ability and/or Skills (BMQ): General knowledge of chemistry/general science; Basic mathematical skills; Production work; Good organizational skills; Good communication skills; Problem solving; Ability to multi-task; Quick learner; Work independently; Work within time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves samples from Sample Control for analysis.
• Performs sample preparation including aliquot samples; spike and trace samples; prepare reagents; bottle samples; prepare concentrations; separation; sonication; liquid rack setup.
• Resolves discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled.
• Prepares general laboratory paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.
• Washes laboratory glassware to prepare for next day’s samples.
• Stocks laboratory supplies.
• Cleans work areas to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assists other laboratory areas as needed.
