Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of fabrication shop experience or equivalent
• Fabrication certificate from related craft training program preferred
• Pass pre-employment trade test (bend or X-ray)
• Proficient with materials, methods, and tools for construction/repair of buildings
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and vendor tags
• Strong arithmetic and geometry for layout work
• Precisely measure lengths with ruler or tape
• Strong planning, problem solving, and independent working ability
• Clear verbal and written communication across teams
• Reliable transportation for site duties

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products per plans and specs
• Operate fabricating machines (brakes, rolls, shears, drills) and related tools
• Weld stainless steel, carbon steel and other alloys in various positions
• Set up and use machine tools; operate forklift/crane as needed
• Inspect finished work for conformance to specs and quality standards
• Maintain safe work area, follow Turner safety protocols and PPE requirements
• Track production and communicate issues to supervisor
• Coordinate with trades, subcontractors, and vendors on site
