Accelera is seeking a Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our production team. You will perform high-precision structural welds on heavy equipment and ensure parts meet stringent safety and durability standards.

You will interpret complex fabrication drawings and welding symbols, configure welding setups, and polish finished components to exact tolerances. A strong safety culture and prior experience with structural steel welding are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in fabrication/manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MIG welding; ability to read welding symbols and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex structural welds per blueprints and WPS.
• Configure welding machinery and select appropriate filler materials for each project.
• Inspect welds visually and repair defects to ensure integrity.
• Finish components through grinding and polishing to tight tolerances.
• Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols to guide assembly tasks.
• Maintain safety by following hot work protocols and using PPE.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex structural steel welds by strictly adhering to blueprints and established weld procedure specifications (WPS).
• Optimize production efficiency by properly configuring welding machinery and selecting the ideal filler materials for each project.
• Ensure structural integrity by conducting thorough visual inspections and performing necessary repairs to eliminate defects.
• Refine finished components through precise grinding and polishing to meet exact design tolerances.
• Interpret intricate fabrication drawings and technical weld symbols to guide daily assembly tasks.
• Uphold a culture of safety by consistently applying hot work protocols and utilizing required personal protective equipment.

Required Skills
