Job summary

Thecentermemphis in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator for our fast-paced fabrication shop. You will perform MIG welding across positions, read blueprints, and operate presses, saws, and grinders to meet exacting specifications.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in fabrication, strong MIG welding skills, and the ability to read drawings. You must be safety-minded, reliable, and able to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of fabrication/manufacturing experience required.
• Strong MIG welding; TIG and Stick experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measurements.
• Experience operating common shop equipment (press brake, saws, rollers, grinders).
• Attention to detail, quality, and safety.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding (TIG and Stick a plus) in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to fabricate parts accurately.
• Operate fabrication equipment including press brake, band saws (vertical and horizontal), rollers, and grinders.
• Measure, layout, and fit components to ensure proper alignment and tolerances.
• Assemble and fabricate metal components to meet quality and specification requirements.
• Inspect finished work to ensure accuracy, structural integrity, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work closely with team members, supervisors, and engineering to resolve fabrication issues.
• Meet production schedules and deadlines.
