Job summary

Capstone Copper Pinto Valley is seeking a skilled Metallurgist to support and optimize metallurgical processes across concentrator operations, driving improved plant performance and metal recoveries. You will work with Operations, Maintenance, Mine Engineering, Laboratory, Process Control, and Technical Services to monitor KPIs and coordinate test work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in metallurgy or related engineering.
• 7+ years in mineral processing or base metal flotation.
• Experience with crushing, grinding, flotation, filtration, dewatering.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficient with Excel.
• Ability to work across departments and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and optimize metallurgical performance across circuits.
• Evaluate plant performance, recoveries, grades, and KPIs.
• Maintain metallurgical accounting, reporting, and forecasts.
• Interpret data to identify process improvements.
• Troubleshoot metallurgical issues and recommend actions.
• Coordinate lab and plant test work to optimize conditions.
• Support lab programs and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
