Job summary

Omni One is seeking a Metallurgist in Ohio to join our manufacturing team. You will interpret and analyze material tests, troubleshoot material issues, and help sustain quality systems across the plant.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgy with 5+ years of experience; degree can be substituted by equivalent experience. Lean/process improvement, ISO 9001 familiarity, and relocation support are preferred.

Qualifications

• A BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or Metallurgy plus 5+ years experience.
• Experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
• Heavy manufacturing, steels or metals experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Lean and process improvements; ISO 9001 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting and analyzing tests on materials.
• Investigating any issues with materials.
• Auditing and maintaining quality systems.
• Assisting with continuous improvements throughout the plant.
• Using SPC, root cause analysis and other tools to improve processes and resolve issues.
• Complying with all environmental and safety regulations.
