Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs in Coshocton, OH, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support development and ensure product and process quality in a fast-paced steel environment. The role collaborates across Operations, Engineering, and Quality to drive results and optimize material flow.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science, with data analysis and strong communication skills. Relocation may be considered; industry experience in steel is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in metallurgy, materials science, or related field
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects with minimal supervision
• Data analysis skills for data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

• Manage trials for development of new products and processes
• Dispositional management of distressed material per standards and business needs
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and other resources to drive results
• Support Sales/Quality department RFQ, spec review and capability
• Monitor quality through spot checks and feedback to relevant departments
• Cross-train to fill vacancies and cover special needs
• Other duties as required by business needs
