Qualifications

• BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or Metallurgy; 5+ years experience.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing, steels or metals preferred.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Experience with Lean and process improvements.
• Experience with ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting and analyzing tests on materials.
• Investigating issues with materials.
• Auditing and maintaining quality systems.
• Assisting with continuous improvements throughout the plant.
• Using SPC, root cause analysis and other tools to improve processes.
• Complying with environmental and safety regulations.
