Job summary

Omni One is seeking a Metallurgist for the Salt Fork, OH area to join a global company known for its production and recycling capabilities. The role focuses on interpreting material tests, investigating issues, and driving continuous improvements in a heavy manufacturing setting.

Requirements include a BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgy with 5+ years of related experience; experience with Lean, process improvements, and ISO 9001 is preferred.

  • Experience in heavy manufacturing, steels or metals preferred.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Metallurgist

Salt Fork, OH area

$100,000-$110,000/year

Our client is a leading, global company that was founded almost 75 years ago and continues to grow. They are known for their production and recycling capabilities and have recently completed a multi-million dollar expansion. They are in need of a Metallurgist to join their team.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpreting and analyzing tests on materials
  • Investigating any issues with materials
  • Auditing and maintaining quality systems
  • Assisting with continuous improvements throughout the plant
  • Using SPC, root cause analysis and other tools to improve processes and resolve issues
  • Complying with all environmental and safety regulations
Requirements:
  • A BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or Metallurgy, along with 5 or more years of related experience. Experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing, steels or metals is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Lean, process improvements, etc
  • Experience with ISO 9001
