Job summary

The Mathematics, Engineering and Science Achievement (MESA) program at University of the Pacific seeks a hands-on Assistant Coordinator to support event planning, MESA Day, and campus outreach. You will collaborate with the SOECS Student Services team to coordinate College Prep and University Program activities, recruit participants, and help grow the program at Stockton and surrounding districts.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree and experience in coordination or administration, plus at

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1 year of program coordination or eight (8) years of experience in coordination and/or teaching.
• 1 year of event planning experience for groups of 500 or more guests.
• 1 year experience directly related to working with K-16 students.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute MESA events.
• MESA Day planning and event execution.
• Execute MESA College Prep programming for school sites.
• Includes preparing and providing hands‑on activities and materials for school sites
• Ensuring student liaisons are supported in understanding their role at school sites
• Assisting with development and maintenance of processes to streamline MESA programming
• Materials management: inventory tracking and requests
• Enrollment data management and enrollment assistance
• Assist with student staff training
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
