Job summary

Mercy are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the South Float Pool, working across Orthopedics, Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, Emergency, and more. You will provide high-quality patient care across multiple units, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinate with other departments.

A 1–2 year bedside RN background and an RN license are required, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus and tiered shift differentials.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of bedside RN experience.
• BSN preferred but not required.
• Current RN license in the state and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across multiple units as a Mercy float nurse.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality and follow nursing practice guidelines.
• Coordinate care with other departments and adhere to Mercy Service Standards.

Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Full-Time Sign-On Bonus: $20,000

We offer flexible sign-on bonus options to fit your needs:

• Flexible, No-Contract Option: Bonus paid in four equal installments at 6, 12, 18, and 24 months.
• Upfront Payment Option: Receive 50% at start and the remaining 50% at 6 months with a 2-year commitment.

Competitive Pay with Tiered Differentials:

• Tier 3 (Med/Surg):+$5.00/hr
• Tier 2 (Stepdown):+$7.50/hr
• Tier 1 (ICU):+$10.00/hr

Additional Shift Differentials:

• Evening: +$2.00/hr
• Night: +$2.50/hr
• Weekend: +$1.50/hr

Qualifications:

• Experience:1–2 years of bedside RN experience
• Education:Nursing degree from an accredited school (BSN preferred)
• License:Current RN license in the state
• Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association
• Physical requirements/demands:
  • Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Prolonged standing and walking each shift
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
