Job summary

Mercy South Float Pool RN position at 10010 Kennerly Road, St. Louis, MO 63128. PRN role with minimum three shifts in a 6-week period; orientation may require more hours.

You will float across multiple units, delivering patient care with emphasis on safety, assessment, and teamwork. Shifts include 12-hour and 8-hour evening options. Competitive pay includes tiered differentials for Med/Surg, Stepdown, and ICU, plus additional evening/night/weekend differentials.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of bedside RN experience.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Physical requirements: push/pull 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model.
• Coordinate care across units within Mercy South Float Pool.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality.

Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. Flexible Scheduling Options:

• 12-hour shifts: 7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM
• 8-hour evening shifts: 3 PM – 11 PM

Competitive Pay with Tiered Differentials:

• Tier 3 (Med/Surg): +$5.00/hr
• Tier 2 (Stepdown): +$7.50/hr
• Tier 1 (ICU): +$10.00/hr

Additional Shift Differentials:

• Evening: +$2.75/hr
• Night: +$4.60/hr
• Weekend: +$1.50/hr

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1–2 years of bedside RN experience
• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited school (BSN preferred)
• License: Current RN license in the state
• Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association
• Physical requirements/demands:
  • Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Prolonged standing and walking each shift
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
