Job summary

First Merchants Bank in Fort Wayne is seeking a Merchant Sales Officer to drive revenue growth by developing and expanding merchant relationships through our Merchant Services products and solutions.

You will analyze statements, prepare proposals, and work with bank teams to identify cross-sell opportunities while delivering exceptional service to a diverse client base. The role requires at least an associate degree and 3 years in business development or sales, with travel about 20%.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business, marketing or a related field of study (required).
• Three (3) years of business development, sales, or related financial services experience (required).
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field of study would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze merchant account statements to assemble proposals and RFPs.
• Prepare compelling proposals tailored to client needs.
• Identify and cultivate opportunities to introduce new services/products.
• Actively seek and convert prospects into Merchant Services clients.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of customers and ensure high satisfaction.
