Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and managing merchandising and freight processing.

You will assist with merchandising, freight flow, and maintaining store standards to deliver an exceptional customer experience. In this role, you’ll handle opening/closing procedures, stock management, and compliance with policies while collaborating with the Store Manager to plan sales strategies and organize monthly

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Ensure cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors.
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
