Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to help the Store Manager lead a dynamic team of associates and create positive experiences for the communities we serve.

You’ll focus on merchandising and processing freight while supporting daily store operations. Key duties include opening and closing procedures, protecting assets, maintaining stockroom and sales floor standards, executing directives, stocking merchandise, and planning monthly sales while keeping the store

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain a clean, neat store environment, including bathrooms.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise including frozen & refrigerated.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective and merchandise effectively.
• Plan and maintain monthly Sales Planners.
